WAYS TO GIVE
In Marin, individual supporters have worked to augment collections, services and equipment, but changing and growing needs require more active support. You can help with fundraising or by making a donation.
Building or expanding libraries takes more than bricks and mortar; it takes money – our money.
We encourage you to contribute, cash, securities, annuities, or planned gifts to the Marin County Library Fund at the Marin Community Foundation (MCF).
Join Us – Every day your donations support learning and community in Marin via top-notch collections, technology, and spaces.
GIVING OPTIONS
There are several ways you can support your library. Gifts of any size are appreciated.
-
Cash gifts to the Marin County Library Foundation provide benefits to the Marin County Free Library and income tax deductions to our donors.
-
Make the Library Foundation a direct recipient of part of the minimum required distributions from your IRA - a gift that reduces your taxes by reducing your adjusted gross income.
-
Converting an IRA to a Roth IRA? A gift to the Library Foundation can provide deductions to offset income tax due on amounts coming out of your IRA.
-
Not in a position to give now? Deferred gifts are also most welcome and appreciated!
-
Make a gift to the Library Foundation in your will or your trust. Be sure to let us know so that we can thank you.
-
Create a charitable remainder trust, reserving a lifetime income for yourself with the remainder passing to the Library Foundation at the end of your life.
-
Your tax advisor can help you assess the best way for you to become a Library hero.
