LEARNING BUS
The Marin County Library Foundation raised and contributed over $50,000 toward the purchase of this important educational asset.
The Marin County Free Library uses this vehicle to operate a free drop-in mobile preschool program. Originally called the FLAGship, the previous outreach vehicle had reached the end of its useful life and was often breaking down. The vehicle was replaced with a beautiful new bus and renamed the Learning Bus.
The Learning Bus delivers bilingual activities that support early childhood development through exploration, stories, songs, games, art, and lots of fun! Designed for children age 0 to 5, the program provides a great opportunity for parents to engage with their children and prepare them for school.
Congratulations and many thanks to the Marin County Library Foundation for helping us raise the funds to purchase a new FLAGship. The new FLAGship, renamed the Learning Bus, will serve generations to come.
